Finally did a pork butt today.

After about 8 months of egging I did a pork butt today. Got it all ready go last nite with some seasoning then wrapped it in foil for the night. Looked great before I threw it on the egg. About 4 hours cooking then wrapped for about an hour. Then let set for about half hour to an hour.

Looks good but, it sounds like you did a turbo cook. How big was the butt?
Last low 'n' slo I did a few weeks ago ran 14 hours @ 275° the butt weighed in a just 9 pounds.
Bet'cha it tasted good!

almost turbo 4.38# Was about 300 degrees most of the time. worked great

4.38 pounds ... that's more like a buttette. Looks good ... how did it taste? Got to try one turbo one of these days.

Was very tasty. Another food that I enjoyed eating out after MT biking gone. It was great. Now I'm thinking a small brisket. Need to get a Maverick so I can monitor it. I didn't peek till 2 or so hours.
