Haha... I am driving a Corolla. With almost 110 miles round trip to work, I need something decent on gas. Wouldn't mind having a smart car or maybe a Prius/Leaf, etc.Legume said:so that's a medium, or are you driving a smart car?------------------------------

My medium is my everyday cooker. Use it probably 4 times a week. When you do your burn just keep an eye on it to see if any cracks present themselves when the ceramic gets hot. Sweet score for that cheap.I raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.

@johnmitchell Not really settled. The Egg is still in my car. Just now got home and settled. Been a long day for sure.johnmitchell said:Matt when you get settled give us the details of how it went down..
Went to the guy's house. He gave me his story. He bought it off a guy that bought a few new and wasn't using this one. He had a Holland grill right beside the egg on the table in the first picture. Nice setup really. He said the Egg just wasn't very convenient to light, get to temp, and cook. The serial numbers are still visible on the bowl, ring, and fire box.
Just doesn't have a plate setter. He gave me a bag of charcoal (like in a trash bag(I'll use that for a clean burn)), grid gripper, electric lighter, both tops, grate, and fire grate. He said he had the "wheels" but couldn't find it save his life. I said no problem.
Not sure how I want to roll with the two Eggs. Not sure if I want to add to my current table or just do something different.------------------------------

Thanks! I took my phone flashlight (the flash) all around it, inside and out to check for cracks, and didn't notice any. Hopefully none will appear.Scottborasjr said:My medium is my everyday cooker. Very nice buddy. A new Rutland and you'll be ready to roll. You can usually find a medium nest on CL pretty cheap and then you've got a mobile setup.

Sweet score for that cheap.@tarheelmatt ,don't obsess over any issues / cracks or chips, it's an egg that will cook for you for years. For the price you scored a great deal. Some people on here spill more than that on a good night.
Enjoy.

If you really want a small, trade with someone looking to upgrade. Tell 'em, for $100 and their small, they can have your medium.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

@Sammi while I agree with you in principle, if there is a crack in the base it can be a hazard to cook on depending on placement of the Egg, etc. While it is a great deal, it's not worth burning the house down. And I agree, I will spend more then that on one night on the town easy, which is why I don't do that much anymore

Nice score. You didn't mention the size. I'm assuming it's a medium.
