For any Austin pizza lovers, I highly recommend Pieous Pizza...easily some of the best pizza I have had in the US. I was watching them make it and talking to the owner as he cooked...apparently the just got thier Napoletano certification from Italy and are one of only a few in Texas.

No no I am not affiliated so don't go all Mangrates on me.

I've only had Bufilina and Via 313 Pizza in Austin.  While different, both were very good.

I'll check out Pieous next time im in your neck of the woods.
Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ....

Agreed, they are fantastic.  Cedar Valley, 1/2 way to Dripping from the Y.

@cparktx did you try their pastrami?

Love Pieous.  Been several times.  Its right before Nutty Brown Cafe on 290 coming from Austin.  They also do house made pastrami that is maybe better than their pizza

I feel a whole lot more like I do now than I did when I got here.

That pastrami is what made me start smoking corned beef briskets.  Wow.

Their pizzas are outstanding, but there "juicy" house smoked pastrami is even better.  Their pastrami put them on the Texas Monthly BBQ Top 50 in Texas. It literally melts in your mouth!

Going to Austin next Saturday for my Daughter's graduation, could not convince her to go to one of the locations listed above, she would like to go to either Brickoven or Mangia, any preference on these two?

Mangia is deep-dish, it's good, but it's deep dish, totally different thing.

This place is insanely good too, it's right next to a brewery, it's all outdoors and only open on the weekends.  http://stanleysfarmhousepizza.com/

I'm not a huge fan of the beer at Jester King, it's a lot of sours and farmhouse style beers.  Stanley's has several other local beers on tap, food and environment is great, but you're standing in line and eating at picnic tables.
