Kamodo design ideas

Was in Home Depot yesterday and looked over a "kamodo" BGE knockoff, made with ceramic shells and (I'm assuming) insulation in between (I tried to find the model on their website, but couldn't; it wasn't the $700 model that came up).
Anyhoo, the cast-iron grid had two holes molded into the back near the rim, allowing a second, elevated rack to fit into (a la swing rack). It also had a center circle section that was removable, I'm assuming for a built-in wok hole, very clever (unless it dislodges easily while flipping steaks or something).
A couple neat design ideas that, if BGE adopted, I wouldn't complain.

That sounds somewhat like a char griller Akorn, except they are not ceramic.
Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
I wonder if it was the bayou classic. Grids might interchange...?Slumming it in Aiken, SC.

Another thought is the oval, greta for two zone cooks.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

What you're describing sure sounds like the new Broil King KEG 5000. Unlike most ceramic "kamado-style" grills, the Keg's durable body is made of double walled steel with high-grade insulation in between.
The interior is 18.5 inches and all of the LBGE accessories will fit. Here's a couple pics showing the grate you describe. The website still is showing the old style grate.
