D@mn I wish I could build stuff!  Those look really nice.  I have a similar organizational method where I throw all the various bags of chips/chunks into one deck box.  The starters are floating around somewhere in the bottom.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

That's a cool idea. I have the skills but Ohio's 1 season isn't friendly. I bought a watertight container from the Container Store for my charcoal and wood chips. I'll post pics of my table soon.

Great idea, wish I could do that, but the wife wouldn't want me putting holes in the side of the house.  Hope to have area for wood when I build outdoor kitchen.  If that ever happens.

Two 2-1/2-3" wood screws is all it would take plenty enough to hold that up added wood weight as well ...two holes won't hurt the house one bit and if you ever take it down ... Two little daps of wood filler and you'd never now it was ever there :) no put the man pants back on and ask for permission one more time  =)

Our house has vinyl siding and am not sure I could find a replacement piece to match.  I like that I don't have to paint it, but if you make a hole it looks really bad.

Gotch ya ...even with vinyl promise it wouldn't be hard to put on or ugly still only need the two screws and depending on what color your vinyl is if you ever took it off just a dab of caulk to fill holes :)
good luck with your future outdoor kitchen :)
