Just saw this on another forum. Maybe 24 more of you can get a bottle of PVW this year now.

Would love to have a bottle. For now, my go-to is Eagle Rare. I didn't think I'd find anything (affordable) that was better than Blanton's, but Eagle Rare is just that IMO.Ajax, ON Canada(XL BGE, MED BGE, La Caja China #2, and the wife's Napoleon gasser)

I love Eagle Rare, but only as a change of pace. It is wonderful, but it almost tastes like a different whisky to me. I think rye tastes more like bourbon than Eagle Rare does. I love it -- but it has a different taste to me. I love it once in a while, but Bulleit is my "normal" bourbon, these days. I've tasted a few other bourbons that seem "fancier" than Bulleit, but I keep coming back to Bulleit for my "regular" bourbon. I've never tasted Pappy's or Blanton's (I'm not sure I can get either of them where I live). Do you like Blanton's better than Bulleit?

I have recently become a huge fan of Basil Hayden. Hits all the high numbers in things I like in Bourbon.

Thanks for posting....I was just wondering the other day if they ever caught the crew that stole the Pappy.Joe - I'm a reformed gasser-holic aka 4Runner Columbia, SC Wonderful BGE Resource Site: http://www.nakedwhiz.com/ceramicfaq.htm and http://www.nibblemethis.com/ and http://playingwithfireandsmoke.blogspot.com/2006/02/recipes.html
What am I drinking now? Woodford....neat -
My favorites right now are Larceny and Old Weller for wheated bourbons and Elmer T Lee for a more traditional bourbon.bweekes said:Would love to have a bottle. For now, my go-to is Eagle Rare.
