Salad was off the chain good!!!!
Grilled romaine salad and asparagus consisted of the below:
Grilled romaine, peppers, and asparagus to get a nice char. Simple canola oil and salt and pepper.
Filets were awesome. Cooked mine with coffee seasoning (1 part Lawry's season salt, 1 part coffee (fresh grind), 1 part sugar, 1/2 part pepper). Mine cooked to 120°. Wife's filet was seasoned with salt and pepper.
Wife made some cheese bread and some sweet potato balls (forgot to take a done picture) for me and my little girl. My wife doesn't care for sweet potatoes.
The start of the grilled romaine salad

Going on the grill...

Added some bacon around the edges so the flames wouldn't be crazy...

Grilled salad portion is complete....

The meat is ready...

Filet down! Filet down!

Salad before dressed....

With the filet... I tell you, I'd rather had the salad only. It was that good.

The bread.... Dang it was good!
Drizzled with the balsamic vinaigrette

That's it folks! Thanks for taking a look.

Looks great...but...title should be filet first and salad second.LoL
But who am I to say. My rule of thumb is....The cow eats the salad and I eat the cow.LOL -

It was. Made a grilled romaine couple weeks ago. I have been craving one since then. Had some asparagus I needed to cook, and thought I would incorporate with the grilled romaine. It was a homerun! The goat cheese and bacon really topped things off.Legume said:That salad looks amazing! Excellent!

Nice, very nice. Grilled Romaine is a favourite around our place. Costco has 6 romaine hearts for <$4 most times, pretty reasonable for a salad. Also, using a Misto to get some oil on the split heart makes it very easy. Your ad ons are out of the park.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

You're right, there isn't much to it at all, but is very good. This was my second time doing it and wish I would have done it sooner.------------------------------
