I once found a recipe/cook on here for a whole roasted cauliflower. I believe it was a spicy recipe. Does anyone know where I can locate this post? Have you ever tried this method? Results? Do you have a favorite cauliflower recipe for the egg you could share? Thank you guys!

I love Califlower.......Never done it in the Egg but I would avoid smoke...I would do a simple rub with Garlic infused butter...stuff like that is great basicVisalia, Ca @lkapigian

I have not tried that particular one myself but have had one really close (no curry powder) and loved it. Give it a go and don't forget to take pictures!

GATravleller would you suggest raised indirect around 400? or something different?

I think you are talking about the cauliflower I did. If so the taste was great but it either needed to cook longer or I had too much paste on it.

This is not the whole roasted cauliflower recipe but it is my go to cauliflower recipe. It's amazing. Think potato pancake bites. I stuck to the recipe as close as possible. Two things I did different. 1. I used food processor and pulsed to chop. My knife skills aren't that good. 2. This was key. I could not roll them the way they say so I used an ice cream scooper with the mechanical thumb thingy to release them from the scooper. I did them at 400 raised direct on a sprayed pizza pan till the top started to brown. I ate them all in the next 20 minutes. They were suppose to last two days. Lol. If you try them let me know how you like them.

Hmmm... that is interesting... We do garlic/parmesan mashed cauliflower... roasting it on the BGE would add a very nice flavor to it...

You are correct. That was the post exactly. Its on the egg as we speak. I will cook till tender and I removed most of the paste. Thanks!Snellville, GA -
Thanks for the info. I will post results.
Grege345 I think you are on to something there. I will have to try that one for sure.

@grege345 - that looks like it would be really good. I can't believe I haven't found those with as much time as I spend on that site. I haven't had anything bad from there yet

That looks tasty! Must have missed that one in the past.

Mattman3969 must have a secret he is not sharing. This turned out pretty bad. Crunchy after 2 hours and crust was not good at all. I will have to try a different topping and possibly blanching the cauliflower prior to egging. Thanks for the info guys it was worth a shot.

What temp were you running? After 35-40mins at 400 mine was al dente but certainly not crunchy that's why I recommended another 15 or mins. The link I posted was full disclosure, no secrets.-----------------------------------------analyze adapt overcome2008 -Large BGE. 2013- Small BGE and 2015 - Mini. Henderson, Ky.

I was at 360 for 2hrs. I will try again but I think I will partially cook then egg. And use a different topping.Snellville, GA

Your temp was pretty low. I roast cauliflower wedges at 475º for a total of 30 minutes (10 covered, then 10 each side uncovered). I think you need the higher temps for a shorter time. You may want to try a coating of olive oil and salt and pepper. Start with the basics.Southeast Florida - LBGE
In cooking, often we implement steps for which we have no explanations other than ‘that’s what everybody else does’ or ‘that’s what I have been told.’ Dare to think for yourself.
