Has anyone used a thermapen to take their own temperature when they thought they were sick?

You know the difference between an oral and a rectal thermometer? The taste. Never tried the Thermopen.

I have enough thermometers for reading body temp stored where I go for sick person stuff.
So I doubt I will ever go looking through my BBQ stuff to take my own temp.
