I
have always said I didnt need a BGE because I had a Kettle and a Pellet Smoker all bases are covered. Not sure what sparked the interest or want all of a sudden but it happened. I done some research for about a month and came to the conclusion that I would get a medium then if it was a big hit, I would get a bigger one. Went into the store on the 22nd to get one. He didnt have any in-stock so I had to order one. Not sure how it all transpired but I left there with a XL BGE, Plate Setter, and Pizza Stone on order.

Got the call today that Egg was in and put together waiting for me to pick it up. The unfortunate thing is, the Plate Setter somehow got broke in transit so I still need to wait on that.

I had planned on doing bacon and burgers on the Kettle tonight, and still thought about, till after I had the Egg in the driveway. I just had to try it out. I fired it up, and played around with it for about a hour or so. Its really amazing how just a little tweak of the top cap or bottom vent can change the temp. I still need a ton more practice!!!!! Anyway I set the temp to around 350* and done the Bacon and Burgers.

I think they turned out good, but I still want to do some more practicing before I jump at anything to big.

Thanks for looking.
