Need help with Guru Ramp Mode

I put on a 6-1/2 lb. Beef Eye of Round Roast at 12:00 today using the Guru in the Ramp Mode. I put the meat set point at 140 and the pit set point at 250 and confirmed ramp mode by indicator light.

About an hour into the cook the alarm started sounding and the pit temp light was flashing at about 250. Went back inside and in a few minutes the alarm goes off again. - same situation with the light flashing at about 250 - so I silence the alarm. Five minutes later repeat the process all over again.

I had to move the set point on the pit to 300 to get the alarm to quiet down. The meat is still a good minus 15 from the meat set point. This is the same thing that happened to me last weekend.

What I am doing wrong? Any input would be most helpful.

    Sounds like too much air is getting into the bottom draft door. Close your draft by at least half and that may help fix your problem.
