Gator bombs

So my butcher had some frozen farm raised alligator and I thought WTH it's different. I did 6 bombs with Gouda bacon wrapped peppers the rest I just cooked on a SS veggie grid. All was seasoned with, wait for it.... Swamp Venom. It was interesting, but I wouldn't buy it again at his prices. Tasted like pork. imageimageimage

Looks like a winner to me. I actually prefer the tail meat marinated and deep fryed. It's pretty good.

  • @DMW‌ I was expecting chicken as well, but the meat had a lot of blood in the juices and was a mix of whitish and red. It kind of came apart in chunks. The first thing out of the wife's mouth was pork. She was right.

This particular butcher carries a lot of different stuff. Frog legs, rabbit, quail, bison...

@SGH‌ I've had deep fried tail on the gulf before and it was quite tasty.

this wasn't bad, just not worth the price.

@theyolksonyou‌- I agree that it's good but way over priced. Most of us down this way don't buy it. I will leave it to the imagination as to how we get it.

  • @SGH‌ I think I've seen it on tv. At least something similar.
