Tater Tot Casserole, inspired by SGH (pics)

I had everything I needed for this in the house. Also had to get rid of some onions, mushrooms and goat cheese somehow so I thought, why not. Thanks for the idea SGH, really good stuff and the kids loved it. It was kinda fun to add my own twist to it too.

lots of onions and a whole head worth of diced garlic cloves
image
a pound of beef
image
shook on some Dizzy Dust just because
image
added cream of mushroom soup, worctershire(sp?), some ketchup and I think that's all. I was kinda just throwing stuff in there lol
image
put it all in a pan and put the mushrooms on it(meant to saute them a bit with the beef but forgot) then started with the frozen tots

last, the cheese

cooked at 400* for an hour

I always use cream of mushroom soup but I have never tried it with sliced mushrooms. How was they?

@SGH they turned out really good. had them leftover from pizza night a couple days ago. i was planning on cooking them a bit with the beef but forgot. they were a great addition and I was glad I didn't pre-cook them.
