Smoky Bourbon Glazed Baby Backs

Made a really good marinade last night that was inspired by mall food court bourbon chicken. I used skinless boneless chicken thighs. It was really good! I saved some unused marinade and used it on some baby backs tonight. =P~ The glaze had about a cup of bourbon, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup or so of soy sauce, about 1/2 cup of ginger ale, minced onion, garlic powder, black pepper and crushed red pepper. I simmered that for awhile and used some corn starch to thicken.

@VC_Outlaw and @theyolksonyou ... It may have had more ginger ale than that. Just keep taste testing it and ad lib to your liking. I didn't really measure anything. Will measure next time, as my bride really likes it. I bet it would make a good wing sauce too. :-?

Thanks guys. @Girlfun, yup, it's still barking. It seemed to move further down the fence away from the device. But still barking. :( Will give it another week or so, but will probably return it if it doesn't improve.

Wow man, just wow. This combines my two favorite things, ribs and bourbon. I use APL's bbq sauce recipe as a base and it has bourbon in it but I just haven't thought of trying this!1 large BGE, Spartanburg SC

Off topic, but I ended up calling both the city and SPCA yesterday and filed both barking complaints and animal cruelty since he left his dog out during freezing weather. The dog was inside yesterday when I got home, most of the day and this morning when I got up. Hopefully he got the message or I'll keep calling. Why would a person get a dog and then leave him outside 24-7, rain and freezing weather and let him bark all damn day and all night? Does he not hear his dog anymore?
