Agreed with above^^^, always time to teach your son what a good steak is over and over...

Perfect for Father & Son. I too enjoy my Father and Son time. Enjoy it as they get older this time become scarce and precious.
Sort of a cliche but, I promise you it's true. Anytime I say I'm busy my sings a little from the song and I drop what I'm doing because I know she's right. Enjoy your Son they grow up oh so quickly.

Looks good, anyone got any good ideas for a light for the egg? It's dark here around 4:30 and by the time I get home it's pitch black. My rechargeable spotlight is a little difficult to use when the fire is dancing.

@NPHuskerFL man I hate that song. Even though I try to spend quality time with both my sons, I always feel guilty when I hear that song. :((

Awesome meal... the fact that it was with your son makes so much better. Elise told me she wants to help this year with Thanksgiving dinner

Brother you said it. Mine is 27, 26 and 23. Seems like only yesterday that I was that age. Now I have children that age. The time has just flew by.Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

I agree, it really does go by quick...but it is awesome to see the light shine for them.

@anzyegg looks great! @ChicagoEgghead20 I picked up an LED floodlight at lowes, egging for the first time tonight with it. I'll post a pic later.Chicago, IL - Large and Small BGE - Weber Gasser and Kettle

Thanks @blind99 , I'd like to know if it throws good. What was the price?
-
@anzyegg $30, utilitech 16 watt 1200 lumen led portable work light from lowes. Only used it once, tonight, so I can't speak to durability, but it lit things up nicely. I'll post a pic in a little bit.Chicago, IL - Large and Small BGE - Weber Gasser and Kettle

I was reading this thread last night and memories came flooding back of the time I took my son out for his first drink. Off we went to our local bar, which is only two blocks from the house.
I got him a Guinness Stout. He didn't like it – so I drank it.
Then I got him an Old Style, he didn't like it either, so I drank it.
It was the same with the Coors and the Bud.
By the time we got down to the Irish whiskey . . .
I could hardly push the stroller back home.

Now that's a great one @RRP.... I thought it was serious until I got to the last line... You sentimental fool...
-
@anzyegg I stopped at Lowes the other day to check out lights. There were these LED floods, and the 500W halogens that are on tripods. Both seemed pretty reasonable. I'll have to work on a better mounting system, this was pretty half a$$ed.The first shot is what the area looks like, lit with the flood. The second is a closeup of the flood, but the camera flash is on.Chicago, IL - Large and Small BGE - Weber Gasser and Kettle

Not at all @RRP, I had a laugh.... You are the experience king on here... I think highly of all your posts.
-
Wow, @blind99, that is a lot of light.... I was thinking they were small and no mount....but that is a lot of light....
-
@anzyegg it worked well. I realized that my two patio bulbs were on - prob 60w bulbs - so i took a couple more pix with them off and just the flood. the flood does a pretty good job. I'll have to work on a better mount, and some kind of shroud to protect it from water. I'd like to leave it out all the time but I bet water will fry it.Chicago, IL - Large and Small BGE - Weber Gasser and Kettle

@blind99 - this looks like it will work perfectly, off to lowes tomorrow
