Anyone w. a good yak burger recipe?

Visited a co-op yesterday that advertises how much of the fresh foods are grown within a short radius. I was looking for some lamb, no luck. But the bin where the lamb was supposed to be was filled w. ground yak. I had to think about it for a few minutes, but decided to get a pound of nice Indiana yak.

Any ideas? And what kind of wood for smoke

I read around a bit, seems like yak and bison are both very low fat. Came across a few mentions that said it could be mistaken for bison. I thought I'd read somewhere that it could be greasy, but that seems not to be the case.

I've had it in Tibetan dumplings, momo, and thought overall the stew was pretty bland. Guess its just a sort of cattle.

no fat, but stays moist, i would eat it. only downside i see is that its supposed to be healthy
