Flame kissed Ribeyes

Had our granddaughter until 5:00pm tonight and was hungry as all get out and had Ribeyes & Salad planned for tonight. Decided not to spend the time for reverse sear so I loaded the small up to the top of the fire ring with lump and let it get blazing. Flipped the Ribeyes every 90 secs till mine hit 130 and the wife's 140. image Lettin em rest for a bit image Decided to just leave on the plate and have a salad plate as well image And a close up. The SWMBO was happy with her overdone and my 130° is in the back. image For a quick steak they turned out awesome. Texture is definitely different than a slow start and then a sear but it don't know if I prefer one over the other. SWMBO actually liked these better. Idk why as I thought the texture was a bit more chewy but it could have just been then meat.
