Ribs- In the Mood For Something Different

So, I bought a couple of racks of spare ribs today, planning on cooking them this weekend. I have gotten to the point where I make a pretty good standard rack of ribs, with a standard rub (paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, etc.). But I'm looking for something a little different, something with a twist. Does anyone have any ideas? Or how bout ideas on what to do with the scraps from trimming the spare ribs, something besides beans.

Try using a Jerk rub

Try this for a different taste. http://www.saveur.com/article/Recipes/Soy-SauceMarinated-Ribs just adapt for use on the egg rather than in the oven. If you can get "aloha" brand soy sauce, so much the better.XL, JR, and more accessories than anyone would ever need near Olympia, WA

I did some awhile back with Dizzy Pig Pineapple Head rub. When I foiled them I added pineapple chunks, dark rum, honey, and turbinado sugar. They were pretty good if I remember correctly.They/Them

I have done asian style ribs and they were pretty good. I loosely followed this recipe:They turned out pretty darn good. I also added toasted sesame seeds after they were finished.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

I also will recommend an Asian style. Here's a Thai style recipe from Pok Pok restaurant. I haven't made these, but I've done a couple of things from Pok Pok. Stick as close to the specified ingredients as possible. I used the honey glaze from the recipe on some chicken, and it was really good.

Try giving the ribs 24 hours in this....

I'm going to do something I've never done on my next ribs, maybe you can try it if you haven't already and that is injecting with butter and honey.
I actually can't wait to try it.
