I inherited a lot of my guns from family. My dad was nice enough to give them to me before he passed. He gave me **** for a long time for not adding anything to the collection. Well the year before he died I bought a Kimber Super Carry Custom. I held it six months for my trip to see him so that I could surprise him and to let him put the first round (besides the factory test) down the tube. They are awesome 1911's.
Sorry for the crapy pic it's dark in my basement! Bristow Virginia XL&Mini One of the best feelings in life is watching other people enjoy the food I cooked! -

@mcmac Thanks! Hey I owed it to him and much more! That revolver on the right in my first picture is a Smith & Wesson Pre Model 27 357 mag from 1955. It's a beauty my dad bought and it's my favorite in my entire collection!Bristow Virginia XL&Mini One of the best feelings in life is watching other people enjoy the food I cooked!

@GeorgeS - I have the next gen of that S&W 357 - model 19-3. That's a fun gun to shoot. Almost no kick to it unless you shoot magnums.

@nolaegghead it's really fun to watch other people shoot that gun! It's a very heavy revolver and even with a 3" barrel it handles a magnum load easily. Most people are expecting it to jump a lot more because they are used to shooting newer lighter guns. Now the percussion is another story all together! That is a very loud round to shoot. When I go to the indoor range and shoot it I will usually have at least one or two people ask me what I'm shooting.Bristow Virginia XL&Mini One of the best feelings in life is watching other people enjoy the food I cooked!

Very Nice!!!!! Here are my 2. The S&W stays in the gun safe unless I need to go super concealed. The Glock 19 is my everyday carry.

@johnkitchens - 9mm. It didn't make sense to go with anything else since I already had the Glock at the time I purchased the S&W. Keeps buying ammo easy

-
I recently picked up a S&W 9mm.
I don't have a Glock, but all of the cops here use them and love them. A good buddy of mine also loves Glocks. I may have to get one.

My wife hates her Glock. It's nickname is "Plastic Pew Pew POS". She wishes she could go back to her Sig p229.
-
Sig's are hard to beat for a 9mm but like the H&K UCP for 45. Still want to get 40- hear great things about that round.Greensboro, NC
-
@Eggcelsior - My wife doesn't like my Glock either but mostly because its too big for her (haha). She has a Ruger SR22 that she carries and just absolutely loves though.
-
She shot 40 cal out of the Sig. Her "toy" gun only does 9 and her fellow agents hate it because of therrelatively poor stopping power compared the old stuff.Wolfpack said:Sig's are hard to beat for a 9mm but like the H&K UCP for 45. Still want to get 40- hear great things about that round.
