The Egg Finally Has A Home!! (Picture Heavy)
Well It's taken over 4 months to get to this point, but the BGE is in it's final resting spot!!
It started the first of May when I finally decided to get an BGE, had an idea for a spot and grew from there. Had a buddy help with the framing and pouring the concrete tops which turned out to be the easy part. It took me over 68 hours to polish the concrete alone and probably close to 50 hours for the stack stone. This was my first time attempting either one, so it was a slow process. Anyway, I still have some clean-up and finishing touches to complete but very happy this project is almost complete!

Great job.Looks like you took your time, and did your research. That always pays off when its a home project like yours.Ive been a mason and decorative concrete finisher for almost 18 years now. And Ive seen some horrible home projects. Either someone goes cheap or runs out of time..And by the looks you did neither. GJ

Thanks everyone! It definitely took longer and was a lot more work than I had originally planned, but i'm happy with the way it turned out. Now I'm looking forward to getting everything organized and start playing with the BGE!

Beautiful. I poured a cement top for my turntable and polished it. Got electrocuted about 20 times, which probably helps explain why I am insane now.

) I'm pretty sure the same would have happen to me. I had the grinder (which had a built-in ground fault) plugged into an outlet with ground fault and they both tripped multple times
Wouldn't hurt my feelings if I never polish concrete again!

My grinder has the same setup. It had tripped a few times, but some current can leak out through the hot and find me as a ground. It wasn't too terrible, about as bad as putting a 9v battery on your tongue.

I'm guessing the second ground fault is the only thing that kept me from experiencing the same thing!
