You are right, TKLeager, to label that 'bargain' as "suspect"!
I would wager that those ribeyes left the meat packing plant around 2:00 A.M. on a Sunday. The security guard got his cut, don't worry.
I spent a few decades in food manufacturing management. People might be amazed at how lax some manufacturers are at inventory oversight and security.
[Some] high volume plants/packagers could lose a couple thousand pounds of meat out the back door but shrug it off as a small percentage.
Once those ribeyes spend a few hours on that employee's pickemup truck, bacteria is TNTC. Consume at your own risk. [-(

Just saw they have another location in town. About a mile away. Dude had a deep freeze in the back of a dodge truck under the tent.
Don't worry @Sardonicus, I'm a little smarter than to buy meat off the back of a truck. No Name City, just between Scottsbluff and Mitchell, NE Crown! More Crown!

That is suspect, if it sounds too good too be true it probably is. That's cheaper than dog food! However, if they are a reasonable size, and you have a pressure cooker you might have a very happy dog.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

You can save half a buck if you buy rib eyes at Dollar Tree. Interesting taste test here http://www.wfmynews2.com/story/news/local/2-wants-to-know/2014/08/13/2wtk-2test-dollar-tree-ribeye/14001099/__________________________________________It's not a science, it's an art. These are ok, just very small. We used them to make Philly Steak & Cheese. Haven't bought any since.
