Anyone ever tried APL speedy pulled pork?

I am having a hard time finding the time to cook my first pork butt. I just picked up Adam Perry Lang's Serious BBQ cook book. This recipe uses pork blade chops instead of a traditional pork butt. Same meat, but the thickest part is an inch or so. Has anyone tried this, and if so how does it compare to the real deal?

It works and can work very well if a few preventive measures are taken. It's much easier to end up with dry pulled pork when using the chops vs the shoulder. But yes it certainly can be done and done well with just a few precautionary measures to ensure a moist product.
