One awesome tradition in the flying world is to give your evaluator booze once you pass your check ride. Typically it's a six pack or, if you do well, a bottle of whiskey/rum/vodka,etc. One student gave me a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label. I was blown away. I've never tried it. My basement will be finished this weekend, so Saturday will be the inaugural pour to celebrate the new Man Cave.

Gonna hit up the liquor store on the way home for some bourbon and then I've got a ton of homebrews chilling in the fridge. Bourbon barrel porter, Texas red, saison, IPA and a witbier. (also plan on brewing two batches this weekend. a nut brown and a pumpkin porter)

Sombody just brought me a few fresh 'shine. I threw in a handful of fresh washed blueberries in them and a week later, it has become blueshine. Excellent color with subtle flavor and a fantastic affect.
