Have a 20 (Roadie) and a 45. Love them EXECPT for the DAMN handle on the 20 (hate it). Need your help. It will pull off with no trouble. I want to hook up a rope handle in the holes. One on each side or strap. Thoughts?

looks like you could take it off the cooler, bend it tighter, and put it back on?
fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -

For the price of those things...I would contact Yeti and tell them you want a new one .Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Put a wood plug in the end and screw it on from the inside. Us a big flat washer inside so the screw doesn't pull threw.

Sorry. It works just fine. I don't like the handle. Want to replace it with something. @fishlessman @MrossSalado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now).

I got nothing. You may be able to glue the end of a nylon rope in each of the holes? Sized to fit the hole.Large BGE, MiniMAX BGE, 2 Mini BGE's, R&V Fryer, 36" Blackstone Griddle, Camp Chef Dual Burner 40K BTU StoveBGE ChimineaProsper, TX

i dont like the looks of that big metal handle either, would make it more difficult for packing and looks to be in the way
i recently bought a lower level engal cooler for use as a bait aerator for minnows, it has a centered handle on the cover and a strap that runs all around the cooler with these footman loops to hold the strap, this company also sells the webbing, plasticadjusters, and either carry handle or shoulder protector for the web strap

Drill the hole through the cooler. Then:
And:
Along with some seam sealer :-??Slumming it in Aiken, SC. -
I've got the same one also and you are correct it's does take some work to yank that handle into the looking position.I think if you drilled those holes for a rope handle the cooler would lose some of its cooling integrity. But I think you could drill them out run your rope in, tie a knot on the end so it doesn't pull through and do the other side. Then maybe put some Kind of clear rubber cement into where you drilled the holes and it should work.just my two cents, I have always disliked that handle as well. It's awkward to carry when you have been drinking.

Or instead of seam sealer, buy some nylon washers.Slumming it in Aiken, SC.

I would go to a tent and awning shop and have them sew up a nylon webbing "basket" that fits the base and goes underneath and around just under the lips near the top. Then a loop handle that clears the lid when you open it. Or being from Texas you could have a tooled leather sheaf with a handle made for it. Now that would be cool and unique. Kind of like Waylon's guitar.

Aren't there tie downs on the sides just under the lid? Perhaps you could make use of those?Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

but loose straps mean floppy "yeti's"
Boy oh boy - I sure showed my age with that! Guess there aren't any old Lucky Strike cigarette smokers here who remember the ever popular ad of LSMFT which stood for Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco...but the ribald explanation of LSMFT meant Loose Straps Meant Floppy Tits! -

Buy it......Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
Darian, having trouble justifying it, we don't fish nor camp, use our coolers twice a year for cooking at eggfests, also for temporary storage when defrosting freezer. Two weeks ago it was $199.97, last week I didn't see any, and today $139.97! btw, price ending in 0.97 means Costco clearance. I'm also hesitant because the thing it really heavy and no wheels. Darn, if it drops to $99 I'll bite!canuckland
