Congrats to Dyal and SmokeyPitt as both cooked some great looking wings!!That was fun. Hopefully next time I can join in the cooking side (which leads to eating) instead of only voting.Good times.

I decree that both @Dyal_SC and @SmokeyPitt shall be named Wing King. So says The Supreme Potentate, Sovereign Commander and Sultan of Wings, so shall it be known. May you both reign well until the contest be held again next year. No go add it to your signature lines.

tjosborne I don't really have a recipe for it, I just kind of wing it(pun intended). I start out with a couple tbs of butter and let melt down. Add some brown sugar. Once that dissolves I will add some apple cider vinegar. And finally add sriracha chili garlic sauce. Let simmer for 20 min. Add some to the wings last 5-10 min of cook and then add more just before eating.

Haha. Well, @Mickey gave me that title and one can't argue with The All Powerful MickeyWhat were those titles we made up on the other board? King of Sarcasm? Something Sarcasm wasn't it?

Well, I'm too late for the entry deadline, but I'm posting anyhoo. These were made some months back, and christened my home-brewed raised grid which makes them special in my book. 3:1 rub to corn starch, sat in the fridge overnight to "cure;" raised direct on the new grid, and basted in 2 sauces (traditional buffalo and bbq) after I pulled them off. They definitely don't meet up to the standard set by others in the Throwdown, but the family managed to destroy each and every one of them and clamor for more.Keep on wingin'!It's a 302 thing . . .

Great idea Cen-Tex. By the way @Griffin I can see the names again when I scroll over the like button so maybe that bug has been fixed.

Yea (hangs his head in shame) I'll admit I got all excited over a couple of pics and voted more than once before reading all the rules! Sorry but I cannot be blamed when people posted all those nice looking cooks! Great job to all!Bristow Virginia XL&Mini One of the best feelings in life is watching other people enjoy the food I cooked!

So what did you think of the rub cornstarch mix? Something worth repeating? The only thing better than a plate full of wings is 3 plates full of wings.HendersonTRKing said:Well, I'm too late for the entry deadline, but I'm posting anyhoo. LOL - I've been mixing honey with my Sriracha to make a bbq glaze for grilled chicken for a while now. Didn't know there was a recipe.DMW said:Honey Sriracha Wings, recipe here:

And of course what goes better with wings than pizza. BBQ Pulled Pork at my son's request.
Honey was just a logical choice to go with it.
Wife loves it. I used to use a Sambal sauce that I had brought back from Indonesia when I was there for business years ago. A couple of coworkers and I split a case of the stuff and shipped it back with our tools.
