    @nolaegghead‌ living in Jax for well over 20 yrs and being friends w/ some ole USN buddies that work for FWC they would tend to agree (I can assure you) w/ @fusionhq‌ broadbrush statement). The Reddrum is one that could be adjusted, snapper, grouper etc for sportsman fisherman. The issue is that you have a percentage of Aholes that break these rules and ruin it for many. As a sportsman I value all the fish and wildlife and want to see it flourish for generations to come. But, unfortunately once a regulation is imposed it is damn near impossible to get it to be changed even when hard data supports it.

    @SGH - If the furry fandom raided my trash, I'd probably grab my shotgun and laugh to0 hard to use it.

    @NPHuskerFL - Those limits are pretty dynamic around here, they change based on the reassessments on the fish populations.  Unfortunately, all this is regulated differently by state and sometimes the politicians get involved and over-ride the scientists because it's an election year or for whatever reason, that sh*t gets abused, so to fix tha,t and other problems, they might start regulating by law, and before you know it you have a dysfunctional system.

    I'll tell you what I've observed first hand: a bunch of ignorant morons pushing back against the limits just so they can have a few more fish today.  Their vision goes out about 24 hours or 48 on a Friday.  Have some friends from Alaska and they don't f*ck around there.   The people, more than other states, understand nature and wildlife need to be preserved.  People are too destructive unchecked - they're looking out for themselves.

    @nolaegghead‌ the limits and the regs are what they are. And I assure you FWC doesn't play. @fusionhq‌ can probably attest to seeing folks or heard of them getting busted by FWC. There is no warning. The laws are clear cut and are readily available for viewing on their web site. When you get your license you are agreeing to abide by these regs (& I do just like I'm sure fusuonhq does too).

    I think the last time I was there was 96 or 97. They had several of Big Daddy's dragsters and one of Shirley Muldowneys on display. Pretty nice little museum.

    @SGH‌ I live about 35-45 minutes from Gainesville but, I haven't been there in a while. In fact the last time I was there I was on Campus getting "smoking notes" for my wife when she was getting her BA from UF. Yep I'm married to a Gator Girl B-) (But, she cheers on my Huskers :x ). I'll check it out when we're there next time. She'll be going back eventually for her Masters.
