Hello there!

Welcome! Say goodbye to all of your spare time because all you are going to want to do is play with your egg. Seriously! Got my BGE about 2 months ago and I have cooked on it almost every weekend since. It certainly becomes an obsession, but hey I guess there are worse things that you could be doing. And I will occasionally let the gasser serve as extra counter space just so it doesn't get too lonely.LBGE, Paris, KY.

Welcome to the lifestyle!@hashissmokin, welcome to you too. I hate to disappoint you but, "every weekend" is minor league... you need to get that up to 5 or more nights a week!---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada

@TexanOfTheNorth. I'd like to but man I really don't like being rushed. Most of my cooks are smokes so I really don't have time after work for that. I don't like be rushed and most of all I like to kick back and have a cold one while I do my thing!LBGE, Paris, KY.

Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride. Please ask questions and if possible post pictures, but the first thing you must do is stock up on Budweiser.

Welcome aboard and enjoy the journey. Degree of Kool-Aid consumption a matter of personal choice.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

I hope, wherever you are, that you have better options for beer than Budweiser!

Welcome. Starting looking to buy your lump in bulk, or a couple bags at a time. You'll blow through it! I'm a couple years in with my own BGE, and prior cooked on them at my parents house back in the day.. Cook 4-5 days a week on mine still.-FATC1TY

Welcome and enjoy your new egg. In truth, you will find out it is a lot more than just a BBQ or a smoker. You can cook anything that you can cook in an oven on a BGE. Think of it as a large outdoor convection oven that delivers the added benefits of being a grill and a decent smoker. Anything from pies and bread all the way to brisket. Nothing is impossible on an egg.
