Got the XL all ready to go. Beer is icing and meat marinating. Gonna break it in with some kabobs. Steak, chicken, and pork kabobs each marinated differently.
Being a perfectionist this thing has been driving me nuts for the last hour. I want the lid to align with the bottom perfectly. Gaskets seats good but one side over hangs some as if the top is not round or something. Any tips or is this normal?

Thanks. I tightened them down pretty good. I will throw a torque wrench on it this week to be safe. Now I just need to get rid of this huge charcoal pit I have. It's a beast! Saving room with the egg for sure.XL BGE Metairie, La

For good advice on dome alignment go to the original BGE website, greeneggers.com. Search under dome alignment or lid alignment and all kinds of tips will pop up. Hope this helps.
