Raised direct pork butt

There was recently a discussion on someone who was going to do a low and slow pork butt raised direct. Forgot to bookmark it and was wondering how it turned out (I have a guess). Any follow up?

Sounds like it turned out pretty well. Pic looks good too. Kinda surprised me, but actually that's how some (all??) of the Q joints in NC do it; nothing fancy, just coals in the pit and meat on the grid directly above.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Better pic (Skylight Inn, Ayden NC, BTW)...
