  • fishlessman,[p]I've never heard of such a thing. Does it taste good? Have you tried any other flavors?[p]Gwen

    <p />dimplesmom,
this was the first try and just used up what i had on hand. pick whatever you think would be good, i think something with nuts in it would be great or just add them to it. its kinda a light bannanna style bread, good for holidays with cream cheese, or a piece toasted for breakfast. it was too easy not to try and it came out great. just cook it til a toothpick comes out clean (about 45 minutes). i let the ice cream soften before adding flour and greased up a casserole dish with lard before adding this easy batter. used this setup

    fishlessman,
Looks like a giant muffin. Bet its good with coffee. Nice work.

  • fishlessman,
I'm gonna go buy me some left over ice cream right now and try that. Wonder what would happen if I threw in some bakers yeast and let it rise? Or even poured the mixture in my breadmaking machine? Endless possibilities here.[p]Spring "Ice Cream On The Brain" Chicken

  • fishlessman,[p]Really looks great and is about as simple as it gets. I also want to thank you for posting the results on the forum where I posted the recipe. [p]Dave

  • Spring Chicken,[p]Your post made me realize that my chances of having left-over ice cream are nil. I have 3 teen sons and a husband whose favorite dessert is ice cream. If I buy a carton of ice cream, it last roughly the amount of time it takes them to eat it immediately. <g> I would have to go out and buy it, soften it, and bake the bread all while everyone was at school/work.[p]Gwen
  • Old Dave,[p]Is this the same recipe that Keri C posted on the other forum a few weeks back?[p]Rod

  • Rodney,[p]I think it is the same recipe and I mentioned it when I posted the recipe but I couldn't remember who put it up. It is an old recipe that has been around for many years and is pretty good and very simple to make. There are probably over a thousand variations on the web.[p]See you on the trail,[p]Dave
