fishlessman,[p]I've never heard of such a thing. Does it taste good? Have you tried any other flavors?[p]Gwen

<p />dimplesmom,

this was the first try and just used up what i had on hand. pick whatever you think would be good, i think something with nuts in it would be great or just add them to it. its kinda a light bannanna style bread, good for holidays with cream cheese, or a piece toasted for breakfast. it was too easy not to try and it came out great. just cook it til a toothpick comes out clean (about 45 minutes). i let the ice cream soften before adding flour and greased up a casserole dish with lard before adding this easy batter. used this setup

fishlessman,
I'm gonna go buy me some left over ice cream right now and try that. Wonder what would happen if I threw in some bakers yeast and let it rise? Or even poured the mixture in my breadmaking machine? Endless possibilities here.[p]Spring "Ice Cream On The Brain" Chicken

fishlessman,[p]Really looks great and is about as simple as it gets. I also want to thank you for posting the results on the forum where I posted the recipe. [p]Dave

Spring Chicken,[p]Your post made me realize that my chances of having left-over ice cream are nil. I have 3 teen sons and a husband whose favorite dessert is ice cream. If I buy a carton of ice cream, it last roughly the amount of time it takes them to eat it immediately. <g> I would have to go out and buy it, soften it, and bake the bread all while everyone was at school/work.[p]Gwen

Old Dave,[p]Is this the same recipe that Keri C posted on the other forum a few weeks back?[p]Rod
-
Rodney,[p]I think it is the same recipe and I mentioned it when I posted the recipe but I couldn't remember who put it up. It is an old recipe that has been around for many years and is pretty good and very simple to make. There are probably over a thousand variations on the web.[p]See you on the trail,[p]Dave
