Bells is a great brewery but there are better smaller ones out there. In a recent country wide tasting Michigan took 3 out of the top 10 best Micr Brews in the Country. We are rocking in the craft brew industry........If I'm out of Home Brew I only buy Michigan Beer.

As long as they are untreated they are perfectly fine for smoking. If you find that the kiln fired wood is a little strong you can stack it on some timbers out in the open air and let it air out a little. The longer it sits out the milder it will become up to a certain point. If you have a steady supply of kiln fired oak stacking it and letting it settle down would be well worth your while. I would use it no question of it. Again I may stack it for a while before I used it if need be but I certainly would not pass on it. Just my opinion.
