Hello all. Finally got a large egg at the North GA EGGFest. I've wanted one for several years but waited until I bought a house
Its a gift to myself. Im really excited. I met some really nice people at the fest. Great community here. I got "purchase happy" last week and bought some additions to get things rolling...

Damn, thats quite the haul.... you've got everything you need to get going. the Thermapen is key (don't drop it in the grass you'll never find it)In my opinion, spend some time learning to adjust temp and hold temp very accurately using the vents before you buy a temp controller. It will make troubleshooting easier, give your a better skill base and more versatility.I would say the first slow cook should be pork butt/shoulder. It is impossible to go wrong, impresses people easily and is a fun first cook for indirect.-------------------------------------------------------------------------Keywords: Gator, Nashvegas, LBGE, Looftlighter, Thermapen in Racing Green (faster than the red one!), PSWOO2, Spider with CI, IQ120
