Newbie needs to know what Dizzy Pig Original Rub is

New egg owner here and wanted to do Carwash Mike's rib method. The first step says to apply Dizzy Pig Original Rub, but I can't find it anywhere. What am I missing? Or, what rub was he referring to?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

    @SGH No, they have a fairly extensive dealer network, at least here in PA. They have a store locator to locate retail locations:

    I had the pleasure of stopping by their corporate store this week in Virginia as I was passing through there for work. Great people.

    Egg dealers carry the DP product line around here. Might be worth a shot for you.

    Sadly the one we had here Grates Grills and More closed down right after I bought my egg. Now the closest one is over a hour away and it doesn't stock much inventory at all.

    I would just switch it out with a rib rub you like if you can't find it locally

    @WeberWho?‌
    I have been making my own but it is so much more convenient to buy them. Saves a lot of work and hassle. I'm about to start using Bad Byron's exclusively as I can get it locally and it's pretty good to boot.

    Available on Amazon - here in 2 days free shipping with Prime account.  It's a little expensive to order direct from Dizzy Pig for just the Dizzy Dust.  There is a gift box they put together that has 4 great seasonings http://dizzypigbbq.com/portfolio/dizzy-pig-gift-box/ and sample packets of 7 others.  In my essential seasoning kit I include Raising the Steaks, Swamp Venom, Pineapple Head and Tsunami Spin.  I like several of the others - Dizzy Dust included.  Call them, they will probably work out a deal for shipping using priority mail one price box.  The local Lowes carries Dizzy Dust.

    Good luck

    Thanks for the info my friend. I never would have guessed Lowes but I'm certainly going to look there now. Again thanks for the info.

    I thought you maybe needed it today for the ribs. I totally understand store bought rubs. Tried a few Dizzy Pig Rubs in my day! :))

    Ktim:  I am in Houston. I bought my egg at Berings and they have DP rubs, they just didn't have one called Original Rub so I wasn't sure which one to buy. They do have dizzy dust so i'll get that one.

    Thanks everyone for the info.
