Then no need for the notch just some lift under the egg. Good luck

Wasn't sure how the prep/egg table top was going to be able to be able to guide in on the CNC Plasma Cutting table. Ah but, alas we found that the top is removable with bolts and aluminum adhesive sealant. It sounds like it may be getting completed on his end much earlier than projected (possibly late next week). Woohoo!

Update: Todd my fabrication pro officially rocks! He just sent these project updates to me via txt msg. He has removed the second shelf that had to be removed for the egg to drop in (used a plasma cutter). The hole has been cut using the CNC Plasma Cutting Table. And the new casters have been installed. Still has a bit more to go but, I'm liking it! Just got off the phone with him and he's calling it a day and is gonna go goof off and enjoy a cold one. +1 on that Todd! :-)

Nope. The dimensions were on the money and I have a good warm and fuzzy knowing he went over to Ace Hardware and took his own measurements and they matched mine. I'm ok. Or maybe I'm just well lubed from the Yuengling :-)

Ya I can imagine that would be a bit sketchy. Absolutely no room for error especially considering the SS top was already perfectly cut. But, it turned out absolutely friggen gorgeous! That's a very clean look.

@grege345‌ thanks. When we acquired the table the catch pan was already missing. So he is going to try to utilize the metal from the shelf that had to be removed to to fabricate a catch pan and a platform for added lift under the egg table nest. And there are a couple other odds and ends that he's doing as well.

@NPHuskerFL‌ ok. So they can't be legs cuz you have casters. So maybe they are risers for the egg? Second pic. I don't know what it is but it looks cool. This things gonna kick a€£!

Are you going to use the feet on the shelf? Also, that looks like it may be 409 series stainless tube, induction welded. If that is the case you may want to coat the welds with varathane or somesuch. There is enough carbon in that tube to rust.

@Little Steven‌ funny, I was thinking the same thing. No, it's actually food grade 304 SS with stainless welds and will be bolted w/ SS hardware to the table nest. And at this point the only items that aren't SS are: the table nest, egg bands and hinge. Also I've been informed it could be possibly ready for pick up today. We'll see.

Good! I thought I saw part of the heat affected zone from an induction weld. Was just the tig line.

Just got it home. Here is a glimpse of her while still in my truck bed. I have no way to get it down and then onto the lanai until our Son gets off work at midnight. I will add more pics (stages) all the way up to egg installation. I'm extremely pleased with Todd's work. image

This is sort of a mix of my phone pics and pics SWMBO took for me. Tried to get a few as we sanded it and cleaned it up. As you can see it comes apart on the vertical separators and the entire top can be removed with about 11-14 nuts. Overall I'm very pleased with the end results. Now back to egging :-)
