Looks awesome. Considering I house 3 tacos every time I make them, I'd probably go for the whole dozen.
-
Thanks, LOL...... probably be the same except for all the salsa and chips. This would be great for a fest and numerous possibilities with wonton wrappers in this fashion.

Those wonton wrappers would make a great vehicle to deliver Korean BBQ to my belly. Thanks for the post......

Did the skins get crispy? I've had them "chewy" when baked in the oven.Live on beautiful Lake Hartwell GA
-
The bottom was chewy, was told to prebake the wontons first, then fill and finish baking

A dozen would just be the beginning for me... like the first dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts or the first dozen chicken wings...Yeah, I have a portion control problem.

Those look great. Think I will try them with left over pulled pork, a little sauce, and some vinegar based coleslaw to kind of mimic the pulled pork wantons you get can get at some restaurants. Great idea. Kuddos to your wife!!XL BGE

Recipe:
Taco Boats
1 lb ground beef
¼ c taco seasoning
½ c water
1/4 c shredded Colby jack cheese
3 Tbsp sour cream (can use light)
Won Ton Wrappers
Guacamole - Recipe below for homemade
Brown ground beef in skillet, drain off grease. Add ¼ c taco seasoning and ½ c water and mix. Let simmer until water is absorbed.
Add ¼ c shredded Colby jack cheese and 3 Tbsp sour cream. mix until cheese is melted and sour cream is mixed in.
Meanwhile, put 12 won ton wrappers in 12 REGULAR sized muffin tin. Spoon about 3-4 Tbsp meat mixture into each one. Top with a little more cheese.
Cook indirect on LBGE 15 - 20 Minutes or until egges start to brown
If so desired, top with 1-2 Tbsp guacamole and top that with sour cream.
Homemade Guacamole:
3 avacados – nicely ripened
1 roma tomato diced
½ onion finely chopped
3 Tbsp fresh cilantro – cut up as finely as you can
1-2 Tbsp minced garlic
Juice from one lime (or less based on preference)
Mash with a potato masher
This will make enough to eat as a dip with chips also…you WILL have extra guac, but can save for other recipes…

Did the bottom of the wonton wrapper get crispy as well, or go soggy?County of Parkland, Alberta, Canada
-
@AlbertaEgger - Bottom was a tad soggy, to get it all crisp should prebake the wonton wrapper for 5 - 10 mintues then add mixture and finish heating through.
