Birthday Dinner

So today is my 42nd Birthday. SWMBO asked what I wanted for dinner. Of course I'm making it cuz that's how we eggheads roll. Also invited neighbors over. Making some well marbleized ribeye steaks and SWMBO is making all the sides. Pics to follow later this afternoon/evening. Have a great day y'all.

Oops I stand corrected. I'm also baking potatoes on the egg. Because SWMBO said so ;-). On the last cook of Spatchcock I decided after I was done it was time to self clean so put in the p.s. etc and let her rip. Pulled thermometer and then noticed the dome had shifted with about a 3/4" underbite and dollar would slide in without lifting dome. Rib Eyes EVOO, kosher salt, coarse pepper and cracked pepper, raised direct 350℉, rest and bumped temp to 700℉ c.i. pan seared. Baked potatoes raised direct 350 ℉. Today was just a all around bad ass day! Great family, friends, weather, cold beverages, food. Enjoyed listening to our Son play some of his band's "in progress" pieces.
