Italian Beef Recipe?
QDude

I have traveled a lot looking for great steak and cheese sandwiches. I love the Violas and Mariposa's sandwiches in Niagara Falls and the Portillo's Italian beef sandwiches in Chicago. I would like to try to replicate them if possible. Has anyone tried to do this and could you recommend a recipe or two? Thanks!

Google Don Wade's Italian Beef, Easiest Beef in the World recipe. It is really good and really easy. Not sure how it compares to the 2 you mentioned but we love it. Enjoy.

Like Italian beef, a family favourite after two years spent living in Villa Park Il.This recipe is good:I like this for the giardiniera:Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

I have made the amazingribs one before on the egg, it is very peppery and is much better when using "better than bullion" paste instead of bullion cubes._________________________________________________Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story!Large BGE 2006, Mini Max 2014, 36" Blackstone, Anova Sous Vide

I ended up doing this recipe today and it was great! Added a little garlic powder to the "gravy" and it was out of this world. Best Italian sandwich I have ever had. Thanks for the reference.JRWhitee said:I have made the amazingribs one before on the egg, it is very peppery and is much better when using "better than bullion" paste instead of bullion cubes.Northern Colorado Egghead since 2012.
