1 cent each. Paper towel and **** cooking oil.
Down here in Nawlins, $0.01 is pronounced "one cents".  The plural of cents is "cent".  Example: That Coke cost me fiddy cent.

I work out in St. Rose, three Parishes away from my home parish of Orleans.  There are folks here so set in their ways, they won't cross the river.  I live on the West bank and work on the East bank, so I get around.  I live right across the river from the French Quarter, about 4 blocks from the levee.  I can hear music from the quarter during French Quarter fest, and the honking of boats and caliope is music to my ears.

    Louisiana is weird.

I was referencing the propensity of local Murlinders that pluralize singular objects for no apparent reason.

I dig, my bruthah.  Learn the answer to "I know where ya got dem shoes", and "how ya momma" and you'll fit right in with minimal training.

Individual businesses are not plural, they are possessive.

    Target's
    Wal-mart's
    etc

Around here, it's "I got this down at the Costcos" or " Check out these shrimps from the Safeways".

In real life, it's "I got dis down der at da CawstcOs" or "Check out deez her shrimps from da Safeways. Dey look like dey just came outta da wudder."

Yes, it is as hard to listen to as it is to read.
