What to do with the chain meat from a beef tenderloin?

I was thinking of just making some great hamburger steaks with it and the small ends of the tenderloin. Is that a waste? Also is a chateaubriand roast the best thing to make out of the head?

I like to make stroganoff and beef barley soup with the end pieces.
