Just search "rutland gasket green egg" in the Amazon search and it will pop up the size for a largeI raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.

I will bring the bit attachment I used to sand the old one off. It's only a few bucks, but there is no reason to buy another.

I thought I read somewhere that you shouldn't sand off thethe old adhesive as the ceramic can get too smooth for the new gasket to stick well enough too.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

Heat your egg up and then use a scraper to remove the old gasket. That softens the adhesive and leaves behind very little residue.

I've used this on four out of five of mine and it works great. Scrape the big chunks off with a gasket scraper first and then hit it with the wheel. No damage at all to the ceramic and the Permatex Ultra Copper and gasket bond perfectly.

Price? Looks like Amazon's price of $10.77 beats my $11 price by 23 cents! But Amazon doesn't send you 2 pages of proven hints and instructions on how to apply it for maximum strength and life. Also if you have an XL then Amazon will sell you 2 of those kits for $10.77 each or $21.54 so you can have 4 butt ends instead of just 2 and throw away 5 feet of the second gasket instead of my single piece for $13.Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time! -

I bought 8 feet for my XL at my egg dealer. They are also a fireplace and home heating showroom. I think it was around $5.50 for the 8 feet. Bought the permatex at autozone for a few bucks. All in all, the cost was around $15 for the gasket, 3m wheel and the permatex. @henapple I followed the instructions on the naked whiz site. Easy install and looks like new after 6 months.Mark Annville, PA
