I just read a good article by Meat-head showing the science behind cooking meats. I have not tried doing a turbo method yet, but after reading this article I will definitely give it a shot.

Turbo is great give it a shot. I want to give you some advice that a dear friend gave me 23 years ago.
Dont pay attention to science or the latest fad. They will get you in trouble. Do what you like and what gives you good and consistent results.
