V-Day plans?

So what is on everyone's agenda tonight? I can not fathom the idea of waiting for at least an hour at a restaurant so decided to stay in and cook while enjoy some cold brews then take the lovely woman bowling. Should be a fun night.

Getting off work in ten minutes. Gotta do some quick shopping, then picking up some lamb chops, making some mushrrom risotto and maybe a grilled caesar salad and a nice bottle of wine. Not fighting the crowds or staying out late as I have to work this weekend. Just a quite night at home.

Rib roast, bourbon-banana mashed sweet potatoes, and a salad with fresh arugula and tomatoes that I picked up at the farmer's market yesterday.

Not only is it Valentine's Day, but we have the NBA all-star game in town, so downtown is going to be a nightmare all weekend (except for the Krewe du Vieux Mardi Gras parade Saturday night, which is pretty much required attendance).

I work from home, so I just threw a 7.6lb Butt on the egg (because SWMBO LOOOOVED the last one I did - my first). Probably grilled romaine as a side, since I've discovered how awesome those are. No sure what else, yet. I have a nice piece of Grouper sitting in the fridge, but not sure I want to do that along with pulled pork.....might wait until tomorrow for that.

The games start tonight and then resume in the morning until finished. Usually very late on Sat night / Sunday morning. There are libations galore and at least a few rounds of carbombs... The quality of my images generally goes down the longer the games. There is even a Miss BGO

I have promised my ladies a Sunday of fun including some stuffed burgers on the egg...

Cooked for the family and my daughter's boyfriend. Egged some nice NY Strips, twice baked potatoes and veggies. Added some Maine lobster steamed at Kroger and some great deserts from a local bakery. Everyone pitched in and we were able to pull this together quickly. Everyone had a great time. A really nice Valentine's Day ......

Went to see "Heart" at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. Had a turkey leg. Going to dinner at some friends's house tomorrow for prime ribeyes and good wine for Valentine's, part 2.
