So I have had my Large since October.  This past weekend I noticed the there is a small chip on the inside of my dome.  It almost looks like it is deteriorating.  As you can see in the photo there are two levels of chipping.  Has anyone ever seen or experienced anything like this?  Should I contact my dealer and see if it should be replaced?image

  • Never noticed, but then there is so much crud on the inside of my dome, any cracks or chips are pretty much hot patched.

I'd sure keep an eye on it. Have you inspected it from the backside to see if there is any cracking starting there? Might be worthwhile to stick your head under the dome and check it inside all over.

@RRP The outside seems to be fine.  There are no visible chips or cracks.  I did a quick glance when I took this picture.  I already had a fire going and was getting ready to put a roast on so I couldn't take everything out to inspect the bottom.  My head was in the dome though when I took the picture.
