The prep/cook or the eats?

Forum sampling-do you enjoy the prep/cook over the eats once finished?  I'm firmly in the prep/cook camp-if nothing else than more time for adult supervisory beverages.  Enjoy the BGE regardless.

I'm definitely prep/cook. I do love the look on people's faces as they eat.

I've always gotten more enjoyment watching people eat my food. Then agian I am my harshest critic and half the time to drunk to care when its ready.

I'm in the cook camp too. I do love to eat the BGE goodness though. I also agree with @henapple on reading people's faces.

If I could eat it without the prep/cook part, I would do it in a NY minute! It is truly a PITA. I do it pretty well, but I do it only because I don't like raw chicken.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Prep/Cook here as well.  I think I get sensitized to the smoke/flavor while it cooks and don't quite enjoy it as much.  I've always found food tastes better when someone else cooks it (correctly).

I am surely a prep / cook guy... I think the more people enjoy the food, the less I eat (until leftovers that is)

Prep/cook here also. I love trying to get everything done and tasting great.

This process is fueled by cold beer of course.

I totally enjoy the prep/cook part and really enjoy the looks on my guest fave when they bite into something new that I have cooked. I am never satisfied with my cooks and always looking to make it better, it totally pisses off my wife who thinks most cooks are wonderful

  • I really enjoy the prep/cook - much more than I ever would have imagined. The BGE is the gift that keeps on giving.
