My buddy and his wife went to Mexico last week with some friends for the holiday. He came over last night for a couple beers and brought me a present from his trip. I wanted to hug him but I controlled myself and went for a simple hand shake. I'm hoping with this weekend's "warm up" I will be able to sit out back drink some beer and smoke one of these fine cigars while I am egging.

Its great when your friends think of you when they are away. However Cohiba never released a class top slid open box. Your friend was had and bought fakes, something very common for those who visit Mexico or even Cuba.I am sorry been the one giving you sad news but the value of the present is not the item itself but the gesture.Since you have no idea if they have tobacco as a filler, what the quality of the leaf used is and what chemicals have been used, if I were you, I wouldn't smoke them. Keep them some place since they have sentimental value.Once again I am sorry....

I wouldn't get too excited.
Cohibas's don't come in a plastic fronted box. They make some Siglo's in a short box but it has a wooden cover and the "Habanos" sticker is at the top right. The parchment should also be overlapped left to right and right to left.

Well....thanks for ruining my day guys! haha just kidding. I wondered when he gave them to me but I wasn't aware of the risks involved until I just did some reading. It is actually kind of funny if you know my buddy, he would be the type to get screwed on something like that
) I don't have the heart to tell him so I will just tell him I enjoyed them Pure Michigan

the article I read online said that some of the fakes might just be a cheaper cigar but some are stuff swept up off the floor of the cigar plants. Who knows what kind of stuff you would be smoking. I dunno, maybe I am just being a panseyCharlesmaneri said:ENJOY them !!!!!Pure Michigan
