Midlothian Trattoria night (pics)

Had a pizza night in Midlothian, Virginia. First pie was kid's choice. Second was adults. 550* dome, plate setter legs down, copper spacers between plate setter and pizza stone. Second pie was our version of the Delia pie at Cane Rosso in Dallas. The bacon jam topping was killer. It also had roasted tomatoes, EVOO, arugula, and asiago.

Nice looking pies. When I saw Midlothian I thought about Midlothian, Scotland. Not a lot of Trattorias out there amongst the grocery vans

I love Cane Rosso...have you been to the one by White Rock? I think it is better than the one in Deep Ellum...

I've only been to Dallas once, and we went to the Deep Ellum restaurant. Very tasty pizza there. The "Delia" is on our pizza rotation now. The bacon marmalade is tasty; bacon, onions, white wine vinegar, crushed red pepper, cracked black pepper, pepper jelly; all sauteed together. I could eat that off the floor of a biker bar at 2am.

I like the Zoli...and the Motorino is really good even though it does not have sauce! I also like the salads, a small more than feeds two! I like Longhi.
