I burn pine all the time in my outdoor open fire pit. Makes a great campfire. Burns hot and fast, with lots of popping. I can sit by a fire like that for hours.They/Them

Out here on the left coast, my airtight Regency stove has never seen anything but softwood, Douglas Fir mostly, some western red cedar. Keep the fire hot, use well dried seasoned wood and there is no issue with creosote.onedbguru said:I would not burn it in the fireplace either. too much creosote, pine tar etc...Burning this years Xmas tree is something different, it is anything but seasoned or dry and is suitable for chipping or bonfires only, don't use it to cook with - other than marshmallows on a stick.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!
