Anyone else have issues with this going out? I have been lighting it with a small torch and letting the fire burn for 2-3 mins then blowing it out. it goes for about 30-40 mins and thats about it.
I am using these pellets. maybe they are too damp or something.
thanks for any suggestions. about to switch to hotsmoke if i cant get it going for longer

I think the manual says to let it burn for 10 minutes. I think mine burned for 5 minutes before I blew it out and it went for over 10 hours.

I blow mine out after about 3 min and it goes the full length of the maze. 10 to 11 hours. Make sure both vents are open and you have good airflowJefferson .GA.Been egging since 1985 on a medium egg

I have a question I also just got the A-Maze-N-smoker do you guys lite it on one end or both ends ?2 Large Eggs and a Mini 2 Pit Bulls and a Pork shoulder or butt nearby and 100% SICILIANLong Island N.Y.

I haven't gad mine very long either. My understanding is, it depends on how much smoke you want and how fast you want it. If you want twice the smoke, light both ends.

mine has not gone out once but I do let it go 10 minutes or until it burns itself out any time after 5 minutes. I know some guys season their pellets for 15-20minutes in the oven on a lower setting to dry them out. I have not have had to do that but I use Traeger pellets. Not sure that matters- just throwing it out there so you have all the info. I did a tutorial on these things a month or so ago. I'll see if I can find it.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

+1 on putting in the low oven for 15 or 20 mins.
Not to get technical, but according to chemistry alcohol is a solution...

I talked to the owner of BBQ Delight pellets and she suggested to use pellets that have a percentage of oak instead of their pure fruitwood pellets as apple and others tend to go out and when that happens the smoke gets somewhat acrid. This applies to the tray type smokers.A poor widows son.
