I'm in.  I sort of agree on the no homemade stuff.  Sauce needs to refrigerated and all.  Rubs probably would be OK.  I would like to share my "Secret Salt" with my Elf, but I'll go along with the consensus.
I like my butt rubbed and my pork pulled.

dweebs0r sounds like fum but I can't find the link for Elfster would you please post it for me

$35 limit, ship the goods to your partner by the 16th of Dec.

Do we have a decision? I'm asking because the Canadian Postal service is very slow at this time of year. I can get some stuff together and packaged so my giftee will get it prior to Christmas.

I think Canadians should be able to participate and if someone has to spend a little to ship to Canada than they just have to do it.

The problem is you wont know who your giftee is for a while so if your elf is from Canada, it would be after Christmas when they get their goodies.  I can drop the time down once everyone has gotten a chance to sign up.

If you are considering sending something homemade, the elfster site lets you send an anonymous message to your elf and you can ask them their preference.  I wouldnt mind getting a homemade rub.  Sauce probably not though...

How is the Canadian postal system after New Years? I don't want to wait until April to enjoy the fruits of a Leafs beat down by the Red Wings!

No Canada is OK, it's to the US that's slow. I seem to remember Elfster is pretty quick after it's set up.

I'm kinda against the homemade stuff. I think we avoided those last round... While we all seem nice we really don't know each other. Sounds a little Debbie downer.

There's just way too much that can go wrong. I make my own sauces, and would try any of yours at your place, but could get really dangerous.

Not to mention customs. If I get Fred I'm going to send him some Rob Ford White rub
     for chicken

Man @fred19flintstone did me right last time!! I still haven't gotten into some of the fruity stuff.

My wife would kill me if I had anymore bbq stuff right now.

I have found a ton of options though for this exchange!

That's what I'm worried about too but I will see what I can find. Probably be sending Texas rub back to Texas.
I'm in the US next week so I'm gonna try to grab what I can and then take it with me. Hopefully we get our Elf in time to drop it in the mail while I'm there. Should speed things along considerably.

Newf, I've been involved in several of these things. I rarely send rubs. Caledon Honey, HP Sauce, Bomba and some Indian stuff.

I'm sending clamato. Never been able to get a good Caesar down South (and don't get me started on rye and ginger).

That's nice of you to say. Haven't busted out the fruity stuff? You are too busy, my friend. Break it out and try not to think of me when you do.

Not trying to steal anyones thunder who organized the first gift exchange, I just thought a little BBQ themed secret Santa would be nice.

No offense intended to @MrCookingNurse and @Cazzy

Those two can't be offended. Lord knows VI and I have tried so many times.

Might I suggest that the Elfster should include his/her size and gender of T-shirt on their wishlist, cause he/she may get one from me.

Up to 15 now.  I can end this thing a little early if everyone has gotten a chance to sign up.  That way you will be assigned your elf and can starting collecting gifts for them.
